Michael Bassett is a seasoned playwright whose work delicately explores human complexity. His plays have been produced in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. His play See Me was featured in last year’s Four Loves Festival, and his play Drive was staged at Naked Angels. A former member of Circle Rep’s Playwriting Lab, Bassett has taught playwriting at Loyola University Chicago and Chicago Dramatists. He is a recipient of the Sloan Science and Technology Fellowship as well as the Hawthornden Fellowship in Edinburgh. His work is recognized for its intelligent, sensitive portrayals of troubled people with buried secrets.
