Keegon Schuett, winner of the 2024 Yale Drama Prize for this dry spell, is an emerging voice bringing queer perspectives and magical realism to the stage. An alum of Curious Theatre’s New Voices program and a former Network Playwright at Chicago Dramatists, Schuett frequently participates in readings and workshops. Their plays include by the Fire and someone poked a hole in the sky in chicago illinois by the belmont target and everything good in the world got sucked through it. Their work pushes boundaries with a blend of intimate family drama and surreal imagination.
