After the death of a loved one, a popular evangelical preacher begins to question the existence of Hell.  At the same time, his former girlfriend, an academic and stringent atheist, begins to question her own beliefs.  As they face personal and professional turbulence, they are forced to re-examine everything they hold dear.

M.E.H. LEWIS is the author of “Freshly Fallen Snow,” “Fellow Travellers,” and “Burying the Bones,” among other plays.  Her work has been seen aTheatre and Stage Left Theatre.  She is a two-time Illinois Arts Council Fellow, a Dramatists Guild Intensive Fellow, and winner of the Julie Harris Award, the Jeff Award and the FutureFest Outstanding Playwright Award, and a proud memb er of The Dramatists Guild.

BARBARA LHOTA received her M.F.A. from Brandeis University, where she was an artist-in-residence and taught playwriting. She is a network playwright with Chicago Dramatists and Pride Films and Plays as well as a member of the Dramatist Guild. Her plays have been produced in Boston, Chicago, New York and throughout the country. Recent productions include: Warped (Stage Left Theatre –2013), Personal Penchants (City Theatre - Miami–2013/The Women’s Theatre Project - 2013), 180 Degree Rule co-written with M.E.H. Lewis (Pride Films and Plays Finalist and Babes With Blades Theatre Company’s Fighting Words Series). Echo was recently chosen for The Landing Theatre’s New American Voices Series in Houston.
