Aaron the Wolf

By Network Playwright, Adam Hurst
Post-Reading Discussion Moderator: Emmi Hilger, Artistic Director (Something Marvelous) and Chicago Dramatists Associate Artist

Aaron the wolf is tired of being in the middle of the pack. He isn't the oldest and therefore can't have cool things like a cellphone. And he isn't the youngest and so doesn't get to sit in the cart at the grocery store. He's stuck being the middle pup of the family and he's sick of it. Grabbing his only friend, a stuffed animal named Piles, Aaron decides to sneak out on his own in hopes of finding adventure and a new pack that will make him feel like he undoubtedly belongs.

About the First Draft Series

The First Draft Series is an exclusive series of Tuesday-night play readings for and by Network playwrights. These are private, salon-style readings in which playwrights perform the roles and then discuss the plays in a format similar to that used in the Saturday Series. The discussions are moderated by a Resident Playwright or member of the artistic staff.
