Let's face it. At some places, volunteering can be thankless work—long hours and little in the way of thanks or recognition. Not in our house. At Chicago Dramatists, we're well aware of the time and effort it takes to direct your energies to a worthy cause without pay. And we're grateful to and for anyone who'll step up to the volunteering plate.

Over the years, the Volunteer Fairy has been very good to us, and we've been very good to the friends she's sent our way. After all, as a not-for-profit, we rely on their kind assistance to serve as everything from ushers to handypeople to envelope stuffers. And we know where we'd be without them. The short answer is "not here."

So whether you can spare an evening to direct people to their seats or a few hours to look after a box office or strike a set, we invite you to apply online, give us a call, send us an email, or download and fill out our volunteer application form and either mail it to our office or drop by and hand it to us in person.

However you choose to let us know you're willing to volunteer, we promise to put your skills to worthy use... and that you'll be greatly appreciated.
