We are pleased to make the Chicago Dramatists theatre and lobby available for rental at reasonable rates for both productions and events. Both are housed in a modern, intimate environment in an historic commercial building (circa 1888) in Chicago's River West neighborhood, immediately northwest of the Loop. And we're proud to say that it is recognized as one of the most attractive and comfortable small professional spaces in the Chicago area.
THEATRE SPACE
The theatre space is available for rent at affordable rates to emerging theatre companies, with special priority given to companies producing world premieres and works by Chicago Dramatists’ playwrights. It is fully equipped, fully air-conditioned, and seats 77-seat comfortably. It also boasts a modern lighting control and sound system, a recently redesigned lobby/gallery, ample classroom space, dressing rooms, rehearsal rooms, and streetfront offices... and it's all wheelchair accessible.

LOBBY
Our newly renovated lobby is large, beautiful, and the perfect space for your next event, whether you're holding a fundraiser, celebrating a birthday, or just treating your employees to a well-deserved chance to unwind with drinks and snacks after work.
And our prices and options make it easy to put together an event ideally suited to your needs. Simply pick and choose from our ala carte menu to build and customize your own event experience or choose one of our convenient packages and enjoy a 10% discount (four-hour minimum rental).
