How I Became An Interesting Person

Love. Is. Strange.
by Will Dunne
Directed by Russ Tutterow

Wayne Drabowski is a filmstrips editor with very little in the way of ambition or social skills. After finding a matchbook on his desk with an advertisement for a self-help book by Dr. Betty X, Wayne embarks on a journey to improve himself and his circumstances. He moves to a one-room penthouse apartment on Russian Hill, and immediately things change. His coworkers are eager to see his new place, and the rules in his new environment include sharing one refrigerator and one bathroom with his fellow residents! On top of it all, Wayne’s landlady, Mrs. Walker, has taken an interest in him and wants to let him in on a little secret. There is something for everyone in this offbeat look at life changes and interpersonal relationships. Will Wayne learn to accept himself as he is, or will he conform to fit the expectations of others? How I Became an Interesting Person is a reminder that good things can happen even in the strangest of circumstances
.
