Evan Guilford-Blake's work has received numerous productions across the United States and in Canada. He has had some twenty different plays mounted as well more than a dozen children's storytelling scripts.His background is in various aspects of theatre and writing. Besides his plays, he is an award-winning storyteller, poet and short story writer, and his journalism has appeared frequently in local and national publications. He has also acted and directed for the stage, done voice-over, tape-recorded productions for the blind, and has "appeared" in several radio productions. His monologue "Visiting" was published in "Monologues for Young Actors: Volume II."Mr. Guilford-Blake created the workshop "Marketing Your Play without an Agent" which he has presented at Chicago Dramatists as well as at the American College Theatre Festival and many other venues. He has served as an Instructor and Playwright-in-Residence at Utah State University, a guest lecturer at Moorhead (MN) State and Northern Illinois Universities; as a dramaturg and a judge for ATHE; and a responder and presenter for ACTF, and has taught playwriting, drama and public speaking on various levels.He is a member of Chicago Dramatists' Advisory Board (and a Resident Playwright Alumnus), the Dramatists Guild, the SouthEast Playwrights Project and Atlanta's Working Title Playwrights, in addition to being a Resident Playwright at API Theatre of Kalamazoo, Michigan. He lives in Atlanta area.
