Ilesa Duncan has worked in arts education for several years. Her background includes program design and implementation, curriculum design, collaborative process, team-building, organization development, event planning and resource development. As a consultant, she has worked with such agencies as the Chicago Community Trust, Institute for Positive Living, Leap Learning Systems, Near North Development Corporation, Elliott Donnelley Youth Center, Northside YMCA and the Archdiocese of Chicago. Ms. Duncan is also an accomplished stage director, having worked in Chicago with Victory Gardens, The Goodman Theater, Pegasus Players, Chicago Theater Company, and Theatre on the Lake. She has also worked at Lincoln Center Theatre/HERE in New York, Arena Stage, Washington DC., the Alliance Theater in Atlanta and Contemporary American Theatre in Columbus, OH. Duncan received a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors from Columbia College after completing study there and at Indiana University. Ilesa is a 2002-2004 directing fellow with National Endowment for the Arts and Theatre Communications Group.
